Imagine a “welcoming, non-judgmental community” where everyone can “relax, connect with others and practice all aspects of yoga immersed with love and kindness.”
This is the mantra for Urban Yoga, the King Street studio founded by Megan Gray.
The studio offers a variety of classes accessible to all levels of experience including vinyasa, hot pilates, candlelight yin, kundalini and hot power flow.
“Oh, and then there’s the free tea and cookies,” Gray adds.
The studio is equipped with radiant infrared heat panels that contribute to the warm inviting vibes of this inspiring community, where anyone can come to practice yoga.
“All the people who work and practice at Urban Yoga bring something special to the table, like a perfect recipe, blending together to create an amazing energy that is palpable,” Gray said.
A major part of this energy stems from the passionate teachers at the studio.
Urban Yoga has an “all-inclusive ego-free feel from the moment you walk in the door,” Gray describes.
Since opening the doors two years ago, Urban Yoga established a 200-hour Yoga Alliance School and has also donated over $2,500 to local charities while supporting local businesses, nonprofits and the community.
GrayMegan loves her career and she plans to “create a 500-hour yoga school, continue supporting the local community and encouraging the teachers at Urban to further their education in yoga and grow in their teachings.”
