7 reasons why you should become a Beagle mom (or dad)

Who wouldn’t want to wake up to a Snoopy™ dog?

Beagles are a breed we can all love and adore.

This breed has admirable traits that can make the perfect pet.

Not only are they cute little animals, but they are mischievous too.

If you think you are too busy for a dog due to you work or school schedule, no need to worry because Beagles love their own company and will patiently wait for you when you return.

If you are interested in adopting or rescuing a Beagle, here are some reasons why you should consider one:

Beagles are a handsome breed

This breed typically is a tricolored dog that is black, brown and white and is generally 15 inches and 30 pounds.

They are muscular and athletic.

Of course, the most unforgettable physical trait is their floppy ears -soft and long (but not as long as a Bassett Hound).

The most attractive feature is their big bold eyes that leave you mesmerized with your heart feeling full.

Their eyes twinkle

“The Beagle will look at you as if he doesn’t have a friend in the world except you,” said Dr. Suresh Bhimsingh, a renowned breeder of Beagles. “And sometimes your Beagle may have a jet black rim around his eyes and then this look becomes all the more beautiful.”

They love to follow their noses

Beagles are hound dogs that have the capability to use their noses to scent things out.

Their scent abilities are greater than other breeds and 1,000 times more sensitive than humans.

But the curiosity of their scents can get these mischievous dogs in trouble.

Never leave food unattended and keep personal items out of reach because it is their instinct to get into sticky situations.

This breed keeps you active and healthy

As puppies, they have an incredible amount of energy.

These hound dogs stay very active into their adulthood, which means they will need their daily exercise outside and inside your home.

They are truly your best friends

Beagles make the best companions, and their temperament is truly one of a kind.

They tend to be watchful, protective and loyal of their family, and they do incredibly well with children of all ages.

The love they have is unconditional to their loved ones.
