The Kardashians have successfully created a multimillion-dollar brand by branding themselves.
Their success began from their reality television show, which aired in 2007. As reported by Forbes, the Kardashian/Jenner family is “the highest earning family in reality television history.”
Currently, the Kardashian/Jenner family members are among the highest paid celebrities as they continue to create innovative ways to brand themselves.
Regardless of the many opinions toward the Kardashian/Jenner family, there is no doubt that their business tactics are successful.
Here are three lessons we can all learn from their successes:
Utilize social media platforms
The Kardashians have utilized their public platforms to create successful businesses. For example, Kylie Jenner is projected by Forbes to become the youngest billionaire by the age of 21, as a result of Kylie Cosmetics, a product line frequently advertised to Kylie’s 119 million followers on Instagram.
Taking advantage of technology
The Kardashian/Jenners are well known for their social media use, as well as embracing new technology platforms.
Kim Kardashian West has created revenue through her Kimoji app as well as her “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game.”
Leverage success
Kris Jenner, manager of the Kardashian/Jenner family, leverages the family’s projects off of previous successes.
For example, “Keeping up with the Kardashians” has had multiple successful spin-offs.
The success of the Kardashian/Jenner projects are in part attributed to strategic leveraging.
