The trade of NBA All Star point guard Kyrie Irving from Cleveland Cavaliers to the Boston Celtics for Isaiah Thomas came with a lot of controversial opinions.
Cavs fans couldn’t believe Irving didn’t want to play with three-time MVP and all-time best player LeBron James.
Irving, however, wanted to start his own dynasty, so he can go on to be remembered as one of the best point guards in the game and not just a shadow to James’ spotlight.
But even with wanting to get out of James’ shadow, Irving should have stayed with the Cavs – and here’s why:
