O-Ku
Located right on King Street, O-Ku is the place to go for fresh, mouth-watering sushi. Every week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, (it has a Happy Hour special from 5 to 7 p.m., featuring half-price specialty rolls. Cypress
Two-time James Beard nominee for excellence in cuisine, Chef Craig Deihl, runs the show in this restaurant located in a historic home on East Bay Street. The award nomination speaks for itself and if you are looking for fine dining on a budget, Cypress offers burgers for only $5 in the bar area.

Not only is this King Street hot-spot known for its drink deals and ping-pong lounge, it’s also known for being the “burger boutique” of downtown Charleston. Monday’s can be tough, but you can make your night a little better by getting the Classic Double Burger paired with signature “Fancy Tots” for just $5.
Mellow Mushroom
This pizza place may not be a Charleston original, but each Mellow Mushroom is unique in its appearance, artwork and style. Although no Mellow Mushroom location is like the other, its specialty crust and pizza stays the same deliciousness everywhere you go. Lucky for you, Charleston has a Mellow Mushroom on lower King Street where you can get small one-topping pizza for only $5 after 4 p.m.
Bay Street Biergarten
If you’re looking for a wide selection of craft beer and a good deal on a burger, this is the place for you. Known for its German Biergarten atmosphere and Southern influence, there are over 70 taps and on Monday nights they feature half-price burgers to pair with your pint.
Locals Bar
Located just over the Ravenel Bridge in Mount Pleasant, Locals duels as a sushi bar and sports bar with deals almost every night. Whether you’re a taco person or a sushi person, or you just don’t know what you’re craving, Locals is the spot for you.
